Since I started travelling regularly again, I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube content to learn from those who know all the tips and tricks when visiting hot places like Florida. As a very pale Welsh-Canadian that doesn’t actually handle the sun well but hates winter, I had to find a few travel hacks to get me through my growingly frequent Disney trips. Luckily, a lot of British vloggers share my struggle of not handling heat well and I have learnt their secrets over the past year.
My original plan was to make a video sharing these products in the future, and I still plan to. However, today and tomorrow are Prime Day, and almost every item I wanted to mention has a Prime Day Deal listed. So, here are a few of my favourite things – make sure you take advantage of these sales before they end!

USB Powered 3-Speed Duel-Fan Portable Fan
Every British vlogger that I follow sings the praises of their pocket fan of choice. Adam Hatten and Gary C refer to these fans as the “One, Two, Beyonce” due to the amazing power that these little fans can pack in. With three speeds, you can go from a casual breeze to your own personal wind machine from a Beyonce concert, which really cuts through humidity on a rough day. This fan also comes with a small stand, so I bring this with me if I’m on a patio and the coverage on the patio isn’t enough. I also love the fact it can be charged via USB, because I can charge it overnight and know it will be ready to go by the morning.
Some colours of this fan qualify for 20% during Prime Days, so make sure you check out the sales today. Even without the sale, this fan is affordable and worth the money, so consider picking one up today.

Waterproof UV-Blocking Umbrella
This umbrella saved my last trip to Orlando. After watching Gary C’s video of what he uses to beat the heat, and then seeing the tips work in other videos, I was convinced to pick up a UV-blocking umbrella. I knew Orlando was famous for having a LOT of rain, so I needed to make sure the umbrella was also waterproof. I found this umbrella, and it saved me almost every day on my last vacation because of the rain that would come every afternoon. It also worked amazing on the really hot days though! I was shocked at just how much cooler I felt under the umbrella, so I will sing its praises all day. So much so that this item isn’t even a Prime Day deal, I just need to include it. Don’t sleep on this, make sure you have one in your park bag next time you travel!

Power Bank with Solar Charging Ability
On my first cruise in 2023, I had no idea how much I would need to charge things like my phone or my cameras. Since I knew I’d have a lot of access to direct sunlight, the solar charging option for this power bank was intriguing. This power bank holds such a great charge though, I don’t know if I ever needed the solar power. It has been reassuring to be able to use my phone and leave my power bank solar panel up when sitting on the beach – the power didn’t seem to drain at all! The one that I have is an older model, so this holds even more of a charge than I have. I always recommend having a power bank on hand, and a solar panel is a neat idea to have on it.

3-in-1 Travel Charger for Apple Products
If you are an Apple user, this travel charger is for you. We all know that the less cables you need to carry with you, the better your travelling will be. This folding travel charger is able to charge your Apple Watch, AirPods and MagSafe iPhone wirelessly, so all you need is one USB-C cable to charge all three. When I was putting this list together, this charger was a Prime Day deal, but I think it was a Lightning Deal because it no longer is marked as a Prime Day deal, but it’s still worth buying!

Folding Electric Kettle
Growing up in a very British family, the lack of kettles in American hotels is horrifying. If you are a tea drinker, you will never be satisfied with the hot water options in the resort rooms, because your options are to use the single-serve coffee maker. Every British vlogger I follow packs this electric kettle, and I followed suit.
Plot Twist: I don’t drink tea. Yes, I know, my British passport is in question. I travel with this kettle for a much more economical reason. Let’s all be honest here – not every meal needs to be at a restaurant. This kettle, combined with packages of instant ramen and instant oatmeal, saved me LOTS of money by being able to have breakfasts and lunches (or late-night dinners when I’ve missed the quick service) in my room. Since the kettle doesn’t automatically turn off, I’m also wondering if I could cook hard-boiled eggs in this kettle. Future tests will see.
