雨だ〜

Finally, a video to show that works and can be embedded! This is my tour of my GRAND apartment.

Anyways, on to other news from the past week.

This is the Asian Giant Hornet.  Apparently, it’s the largest breed of hornet on earth. And they’re known in Asia. And apparently Yokosuka. One of the staff found this outside, dead because of the rain. It’s kinda hard to tell, but this was about two inches long, and was moving around a bit for a few hours later. Which was very unsettling, considering their sting is strong enough that it would knock out one of our students for a day or so. Well, make them sick at least.

In Japan, they’re called Susumebachi, which means “Sparrow Bee”. And if you’ve ever watched one fly, you’d understand why. You can’t tell the difference between the birds and the bees(hornets really…)

And they’re UGLY AS HELL. BEH.

Anyways, other news.

Today was parents day. Which went really well! I’ve been teaching my 6th years a Beatles song, Hello Goodbye, which they sung with their parents. I really made sure the parents were involved, and I had a great time. Despite the fact it was hot and uncomfortable, and everyone kept laughing at the fact I made a fan out of every possible object.

I’m actually kinda really exhausted. So bed time.
